1. Who we are

Mocklup is operated as an online web application available at mocklup.com and related pages (the “Service”). For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact us at [email protected].

2. How the Mocklup editor works

Mocklup is designed to process the screenshots and images you upload directly in your browser. When you use the editor, your uploaded media is handled locally on your device to generate previews and exports. We do not require an account to use the core editor, and we do not intentionally collect or store your uploaded screenshots on our servers as part of the normal editing workflow.

Even though your uploads stay local, the Service still uses standard website technologies such as hosting, analytics, security, and advertising. Those technologies may collect certain technical information about your visit, as described below.

3. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:

3.1 Information you provide to us

If you contact us by email or through a form, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, message content, and any attachments. We use this information only to respond to your request and maintain a record of the communication.

3.2 Uploaded content in the editor

Images, screenshots, and other files you upload into the editor are processed in your browser for preview, composition, and export. We do not use your uploaded content to build a personal profile, and we do not sell uploaded screenshots. Please do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

3.3 Automatically collected information

When you visit the Service, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, which may include:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Browser type, operating system, device type, and language settings
  • Referring and exit pages, URLs visited, and timestamps
  • Pages viewed, features used, clicks, and interaction events
  • Cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and similar online identifiers
  • Diagnostic, performance, and security logs

This information helps us operate, secure, measure, and improve the Service.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, understand usage, prevent abuse, and support advertising where enabled.

Examples of how these technologies may be used include:

  • Essential site functionality and security
  • Analytics and performance measurement
  • Advertising delivery, frequency capping, and reporting
  • Remembering consent choices where required by law

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect site functionality. Where required by law, we request consent before placing non-essential cookies or using personal data for advertising personalization.

5. Google advertising and AdSense disclosures

Mocklup may display ads served by Google and other advertising partners. If Google AdSense or other Google advertising products are enabled on the Service, the following disclosures apply:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Users may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

If other third-party vendors or ad networks serve ads on the Service, their cookies or similar technologies may also be used for ad delivery, measurement, and personalization. You can learn more about how Google uses data from partner sites and apps in Google's partner sites policy and in Google's Privacy Policy.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we aim to comply with Google's EU User Consent Policy where personalized advertising is used. This may include presenting a consent banner or consent management platform (CMP) before non-essential cookies or personalized ads are enabled.

6. How we use information

We use the information described above for purposes such as:

  • Providing, operating, and maintaining the Service
  • Improving editor performance, usability, and reliability
  • Measuring traffic, usage trends, and feature adoption
  • Displaying and measuring advertisements
  • Detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, or security issues
  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms

We do not sell your personal information.

7. How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers, such as hosting, analytics, security, and email providers that help us operate the Service
  • Advertising partners, including Google and other ad networks, to deliver and measure ads
  • Legal and safety recipients, when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Business transfers, if the Service is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale

We share information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy and subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards where applicable.

8. Legal bases for processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we process personal data only when we have a valid legal basis, which may include:

9. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of certain information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Request portability of information you provided to us
  • Opt out of personalized advertising using the links in Section 5

To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before responding. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California privacy notice

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Mocklup does not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact [email protected].

10. Data retention

We retain information only for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the inquiry and maintain business records. Analytics and advertising data retention is determined by our providers and configuration settings.

11. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no website, browser application, or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. International visitors

Mocklup is available internationally. If you access the Service from outside the country where our providers operate, your information may be processed in countries that may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

13. Children's privacy

Mocklup is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Third-party links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, tools, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
